Monsoon Announces the Launch of Monsoon Express
March 07, 2006
Monsoon, the premier provider of online marketplace sales management software, today announced its launch of Monsoon Express. Aimed at smaller sellers, Express now makes Monsoon's suite of dynamic pricing engine and powerful marketplace sales management software available to sellers of all sizes.
Currently over 40,000 businesses list products for sale through 3rd party marketplaces like Amazon, Abebooks, Half.com and eBay. More than 70% of these sellers have fewer than 1,000 products listed in inventory. Until now, smaller sellers have relied on rudimentary listing tools to help them load inventory on marketplaces, while heavy lifting tools like Monsoon's Rainmaker dynamic pricing engine have largely been the playground of larger sellers. Monsoon Express bridges this gap and makes powerful technology available to all.
Monsoon CEO Kanth Gopalpur is excited to make Monsoon's powerful tools available to a broader market. "Monsoon Express has been a long time coming. While current Monsoon customers are some of the largest marketplace sellers, we have always known that smaller sellers could benefit greatly from our products. The introduction of Express at a very affordable price-point now provides smaller sellers the capability to compete on an equal footing with the big players."
Founded in 2002, Monsoon provides software that enables retailers to easily load, competitively price, and more efficiently manage items they list on marketplaces like Amazon and eBay. Monsoon was one of the first software companies to leverage marketplace product data and technology platforms to help its users improve sales and profits, and it has established a healthy lead as the marketplace management tool of choice for serious sellers. Monsoon's headquarters is located in Portland, Oregon.
