What is Dynamic Pricing?
Dynamic pricing is one of the many things that keeps you competitive, improves your sales, and maximizes your margins when using Monsoon. Regardless of what level of Monsoon you are using (Monsoon Edge, Pro, or Pro:Warehouse) our dynamic pricing engine allows you to automatically price your inventory according to the current market. This automated tool updates your prices on a schedule based on the number of items in your inventory.
How Does it Work?
Monsoon actively re-prices your inventory on markets according to your rules. Most of our sellers divide their inventory into groups and apply different pricing rules to groups depending on business goals. Liquidation inventory might be priced below competitors, while high-demand inventory is priced at a premium, discounting other sellers with low rating scores. Re-pricing tools include:
- The ability to price inventory according to configurable criteria, including Product Category, Condition, Classification, Inventory Age, Sales Rank, and Vendor
- Configurable re-pricing frequency
- Percentage of Market Price as a price ceiling
- Automatically re-price inventory at a configurable frequency
- Ignore specified competitors, by nickname or by feedback rating
- Set a "price floor" for inventory to ensure that cost of goods are covered
- Price against the market or list price when no other sellers are competing
- Price at average of configurable number of lowest competitors
- Manual re-pricing
- Cross-market pricing
- Performance Pricing to price below your competitors
