We collect this information in order to evaluate the eligibility of potential Users for use of Monsoon software, for Users to purchase Monsoon Software and/ or services and for Users to evaluate potential business transactions with Monsoon. User applications may be verified with financial and credit institutions such as Dun and Bradstreet. Information regarding a User that is obtained from such sources will be used only in connection with access and use of the Site by the User, and will not be transferred, sold or otherwise distributed without the User's permission, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

What organization is collecting the information?
Monsoon collects and securely stores the information submitted by Users in our User Profiles. Those of our third party service vendors or partners who provide services may collect other information from Users. We do not control how these third parties use such information.

How the information is used by Monsoon?
We use personal information to customize the Site, to make appropriate service offerings to you, and to fulfill your buying and selling requests on the Site. We will email you about the Site, research, purchase and selling opportunities on the Site or other matters relating to the Site. We also use personal information to contact you in response to specific inquiries you may make to us, or to provide you with specific information and services you may request or agree to be notified about.

With whom may the information be shared?
We may share aggregated information about our Users, including the aggregated demographics of our Users, with other Users and third parties. How Monsoon uses logging information.
Monsoon uses logging information (including IP addresses, ISPs, and browser type) derived from a User's visits to the Site and links that information to personally identifiable information. We use this logging information to analyze trends, administer the Site, track User's movements and use, and gather broad demographic information.

Is submission of personal information optional?
Submission of personal information and registration is required to become a User of some portions of the Site.

What partners or service providers have access to personal information of Users on the Site?
Monsoon has engaged in special partnerships with certain vendors ("Partners"). Such Partners may have access to certain personal information on a need to know basis for the purpose of evaluating Users for service eligibility. This Privacy Policy covers such Partners collection of this information on our behalf, but we recommend that all Users read the privacy policies of all our Partners, as they are different than ours.
Disclosure of personal information to comply with law. We will disclose personal information in order to comply with applicable law, such as a court order or subpoena, or a request from a law enforcement agency to release information.

How does the Site keep personal information secure?
Our employees are made aware of our security policies and practices. The personal information of our Users is only accessible to a limited number of qualified employees who are given a password in order to gain access to that information. We audit our security systems and processes on a regular basis. Any credit card numbers and social security numbers that are collected, used, or disseminated are protected by encryption protocols, which have been put in place to protect information sent over the Internet.
How can Users correct any inaccuracies in the information?

Can a User delete or deactivate information collected by the Site?
We provide Users with a mechanism to deactivate personal information from the Site's database upon request by contacting Monsoon directly. However, because of backups and because User information becomes attached to the transaction history of this Site, it may be impossible to delete a User's information. For all Users who request that Personally Identifiable Information be deactivated , we will not sell, transfer, or use Personally Identifiable Information relating to that person in any way going forward.
What happens if the Privacy Policy changes?
We will let you know about changes to our privacy practices by posting such changes on the Site, which posting may be made before or after implementation of the subject practice, at our sole discretion. However, if we are changing a practice or this Privacy Policy in a manner that might cause disclosure of a User's personal information, which the User has not previously asked not to be disclosed, we will contact all Users to notify them of the change and allow them to prevent such disclosure.

Be advised that disclosing Personally Identifiable Information online through chat rooms, forums and message boards makes the information submitted public information; such disclosure may increase the chance of receiving "spam" or unsolicited email. You should be extra careful and use discretion when disclosing information online.
